Valtellina

The valley is the one belonging to the course of Adda river, northeast of Como Lake; a typical alpine world, of ancient history, with wonderful sceneries and high mountains environment however rich of vineyards accommodated along the well sun exposed sides. Crossroads of art and culture, from a castle to a church, from a building to a tower, the Valtellina preserves an inestimable heritage to discover. Travelling across this lands is a real pleasure, there is wide range of opportunities to seize to spend an unforgettable journey here: for the instance, after a large and genuine breakfast you can hike through the various itineraries, then in the afternoon you restore the body in the thermal baths; for the evening time, a walking under the moonlight is fully deserved!!!

Looking at the streets of valley, down to the north side of the slops, regular and long lines of vineyards and dry-stone walls are noticed, alternated to castles, churches or small villages: behind this, there is evidence of the hard job of the past generations of farmers who had built the terraces all along the sides of the mountains as first then they had to bring up the soil in order to plant the vineyards.
