Gorizia
GORIZIA is amongst the smallest regions in Italy. It’s climate is mild for most of the year and is a beautiful place not only historically but also culturally.
This area endured hard battles during the First World War and proof of these can be seen in the cemeteries, monuments and trenches.
It has a magnificent castle which oversees the historical centre.
The middle east part of Gorizia is of coastal origin and Southwards there is the River Isonzo which flows into the sea. Having this coastal area it has the magnificent landscape of the Grado Lagoon.
