Garda

This authentic jewel along the shore of the homonymous lake, Garda is one of the more characteristic towns, located at only 32 kilometres distance from the city of Verona, Garda is one of the smallest towns in the whole province. The old Rock of Garda stands 300 metres over the town and offers to visitors a wonderful sight over the whole lake; over the same rise it is located the 15th century Carmelite monastery, which is a visit worth. The numerous sporting facilities, country-style resorts, and splendid scenery of snow-capped mountains help make the lake a favourite summer playground. Hydrofoils, catamarans, and steamers that use the lake offer glimpses of villas and gardens that cannot be seen from the coastal road.
